Alien Quartz Pecos Diamond Quartz Crystal Fanned Specimen
Reference id: xE4EP0OB9tw 11903
Natural Quartz var. Pecos Diamonds from Pecos River, Roswell, Chaves County, New Mexico. Also sometimes informally called alien quartz, due to it being found close to Roswell.
Youll receive the exact specimen that you see here. This one is a gorgeous fanned specimen.
Measures about 30.8mm long, 28mm wide.
Pecos "diamonds" are not really diamonds at all. They are quartz! The glint of reflected sunlight off the faces of these quartz crystals can give the barren desert the appearance of being “paved with diamonds” (Albright and Bauer 1955).
These are lustrous, double terminated, milky quartz crystal clusters. The color is due to microscopic hematite inclusions.
Common questions
- For pendants pictured without a bail (the piece that goes into the drill hole so you can slide a chain through), I will make a wire bail. I will need to be able to reach you to see what color bail you want the wire in.
Please keep dry. Some crystals will dissolve if they get wet. A little sweat against the skin or a little rain (if you are out and about) will be fine, but please do not shower or swim with the pieces.
